This Phillies Broadcaster Is Absolutely Right. Francisco Lindor Ought To Be Suspended For This Tomfoolery
Is Francisco Lindor serious with this shit? There are kids watching at home. Not many of them since baseball is dying. But there are at least several dozen kids watching this game, and then a few hundred thousand dudes who are 65 and older. What kind of message do you think that sends to the youths across America? That you can just play the game like a pansy ass and then get paid millions of dollars to do so? Fucking deplorable.
If the MLB cares about the future of baseball, they'd suspend his ass. At the very least, the Mets should be forced to forfeit and the win should be awarded to the Phillies. I don't care how easy that tag on 1st would be to make. I don't care if you could have duct taped the ball to a tortoise and had him walk it over to first and the Mets would still turn 2 there with ease. Francisco Lindor owes it to the game of baseball to launch that shit as hard as he possibly can to first. Heck, throw it so goddamn hard that you tear your elbow ligaments to pieces. If you're not looking to shatter your first baseman's hand with a 95mph four seamer, then what are you even playing the game for? Be a little professional one time for me, dick wad.
Luckily we have guys like Ben Davis in the broadcast booth to hold everyone accountable. Without Ben Davis, we'd lose the game of baseball forever.
